Why ProspHer exists

I am the co-founder and co-president of ProspHer. ProspHer has grown into an amazing platform that empowers young women by giving them access to financial literacy and the confidence to take charge of their own futures.

Throughout my life, I have seen how many women are tormented and subjected to domestic cruelty because they lacked financial independence. Without the knowledge or resources to stand on their own, too many are forced to stay in harmful situations. ProspHer was born out of the belief that education—especially financial education—is one of the most powerful tools we can give to women.

Our mission is to break down gender and economic barriers that have held women back for generations. We envision a society where women don’t have to rely on financial support from others just because they were never taught how to manage money themselves. Instead, they can build their own stability, pursue their goals, and thrive on their own terms.

Common Cents Financial Literacy Curriculum

As a recipient of the Welles Award, I developed an original financial literacy curriculum to empower children in underserved communities with the knowledge and skills to achieve long-term financial independence. Inspired by my 120 hours volunteering at the Boys & Girls Club of Newark, I designed engaging, hands-on workshops that introduce students to budgeting, saving, investing, credit, debt, and entrepreneurship.

To make financial education accessible beyond the classroom, I created, printed, and distributed free financial literacy booklets for students to keep and reference. Through interactive activities, games, and practical lessons, my initiative aims to build financial confidence from an early age, particularly among young girls, for whom financial independence can be an essential step toward greater autonomy and opportunity.

My goal is to make financial literacy accessible to every student, regardless of socioeconomic background, and equip the next generation with the tools to make informed financial decisions throughout their lives.
